The 2023 Des Plaines Holiday Home Decorating Contest is Open

The 2023 Des Plaines Holiday Decorating Contest sponsored by the Journal & Topics and the Des Plaines Friends of the Parks.

This is a free contest, open to all Des Plaines residents. Entries accepted through December 8th. To enter, call the Friends at 847-391-5089, email Friends@DesPlainesFriendsOfTheParks.org, or message us on our Facebook page.

Judging will be done by local boy and girl scout troops and takes place December 10th – 17th. Homes need to be illuminated until at least 9 p.m. each day for judging. Homes will be photographed by the Des Plaines Camera Club and prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers!!
