The 2023 Des Plaines Halloween Home Decorating Contest

The 2023 Des Plaines Halloween Decorating Contest is presented by the Journal and Topics and the Des Plaines Friends of the Parks.

This free contest is open to all Des Plaines residents. Entries will be accepted through October 20. To enter, call the Friends at 847-391-5089, email Friends@DesPlainesFriendsOfTheParks.org, or message us on our Facebook page. Make sure to leave your full name, address, and the best way to contact you.

Judging is October 22-29, from 6:00–9:00pm each day. Homes should be illuminated
for judging. Decorations must be visible from the street. Prizes will be awarded. The Des Plaines Camera Club will take photos of all the finalists.

The winners will be announced in the Des Plaines Journal & Topics on November 1st!

We will announce the finalists on October 23rd. Take a look at all the spectacular houses to see who you think is the best decorated house in Des Plaines! Let us know in the comments below.
